Customers report excessive downtimes<\/strong>, but even knowing the cause, there aren\u2019t real solutions yet, negatively affecting the corrugating process efficiency<\/strong><\/a>.[\/vc_column_text]<\/span>[vc_single_image image=“78258″ img_size=“full“ onclick=“custom_link“ img_link_target=“_blank“]<\/span>[vc_column_text animation_delay=“0″]Furthermore, recent events have caused disruptions to the global energy market and putting businesses worldwide under enormous pressure, leading them to production cuts and price increases as demand declines. The abilities to control energy costs<\/strong> and ensure energy independence are crucial today to address the rapid changes that all companies are experiencing.<\/p>\n

For these main reasons, Renova<\/strong> has devised and patented<\/strong> a system with the aim of improving every phase of the production line: Revolution<\/a>, <\/strong>energy-recovery hybrid brake<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Revolution<\/strong>\u2019s patented design is the combination of a regenerative motor<\/strong> and a pneumatic brake<\/strong><\/a>, which operate with \u201chybrid regulation<\/strong>\u201d: brake and motor always work in tandem ensuring maximum performance<\/strong> in all working conditions.[\/vc_column_text]<\/span>[vc_single_image image=“30511″ img_size=“full“ onclick=“custom_link“ img_link_target=“_blank“]<\/span>[vc_column_text animation_delay=“0″]After a close cooperation with our customers, we noticed that they suffered from frequent downtimes<\/strong> during splicing caused by paper tearing, adversely affecting production. In fact, during this phase, the web is pulled via the splicing tape by the draw while the roll, which can reach 5 tons, is still stationary. For this reason, breakages occurred mainly due to low-weight papers or because the tape did not grip correctly.<\/p>\n

To avoid paper tearing<\/strong>, the line speed is drastically reduced during splicing, leading to a massive reduction of linear meters produced during each shift.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, Revolution<\/strong><\/a> accelerates the roll on its axis, and not via paper web, helping the roll in overcoming initial inertia<\/strong>, for an intense reduction of downtimes. This way it\u2019s also possible to keep faster splicing speeds<\/strong>, increasing production.<\/p>\n

All corrugators employ pneumatic brakes<\/strong><\/a> that emit thermal energy, usually dispersed in the environment. The heat, in addition, accelerates components wear and affects braking efficiency.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text animation_delay=“0″]\"Energy-recovery<\/p>\n

Revolution<\/strong> system partially recovers this unexploited energy: the motor transforms the thermal energy<\/strong> of the brake, otherwise lost as heat, in 2kWh per roll stand of electrical energy, that can be reused in the plant\u2019s electrical line.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, thanks to the hybrid regulation<\/strong> the brake works less, for a reduced consumption of the pads<\/strong>. This improves paper quality and avoiding waste, a fundamental goal for safeguarding the plant\u2019s economy as well as for the planet\u2019s ecology<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text]<\/span>[vc_column_text animation_delay=“0″]The Renova Revolution<\/strong> allows every corrugator the opportunity to splice at line speeds at least 25% faster<\/strong> and also take advantage of green energy tax credits<\/strong> to make sure they\u2019re making more money without needing more labor.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text animation_delay=“0″]\"Energy-recovery<\/p>\n
